MANAUS - AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – The heavy rain that hit Manaus on Wednesday (19) caused the appearance of anacondas and an alligator in different areas of Manaus.
The animals appeared during flooding of streets and streams in the city.
Scared, residents of these areas recorded videos of the reptiles near their homes.
The alligator was found at the door of a woman's house in the northern part of the city.
According to her, the animal did not want to leave the place even though the rainwater was decreasing.
The anaconda appeared in a stream in another part of the city.
The video shows the snake coiling in the water during the rain.
Residents were frightened by the size of the animal.
The Fire Department reported that there was no rescue of these animals.
On Thursday (20), a resident of the east side of the city filmed another anaconda snake in a wooded area near homes.
The size of the reptile also draws attention when it moves among leaves and tree branches.
