After obtaining licenses from the appropriate agencies, Adriano Viana Espeschit, president of Potássio do Brasil, spoke about the exploration of the element in the state of Amazonas.
"Known as NPK, potassium is one of the macronutrients necessary for any and all types of cultivation", commented Espeschit, president of the company.
"Our project is 100% outside indigenous areas, even so we made the consultation because the Convention of the International Labor Organization (ILO) provides that Indigenous Lands that are approximately 10 km away from the site must be consulted", expressed Adriano Viana.
"We will generate jobs, socioeconomic and environmental programs, in addition to addressing food security issues for the region, Brazil and the world", stated the company representative.
