Emergency Medical Service (SAMU) rescuers, a firefighter and locals had to form a “human chain” to rescue a driver who fell off a bridge over the São Francisco Creek in Rio Branco on Monday morning (4).
At around 6:40 am, residents saw the car overturned under the bridge between Estrada das Placas and Travessa Camboriú.
The Fire Department and SAMU went to the scene, where the man was trapped in the wreckage.
He was restrained and removed from the car, but it took a joint effort to lift the stretcher to the surface.
The Military Police Operations Center (COPOM) was unable to provide information on the driver's health condition.
His identity was also not released.
