After almost 10 hours of searching, the bodies of Jeferson Araújo, 30, and his daughter, Ester Amorim, 8, were found on Sunday night (19).
The victims were among the rubble of the house where they lived, which was buried, along with another residence, by a landslide in the Redenção neighborhood, in the central-west area of Manaus.
Siblings Jhuliana Amorim, 27, and Mateus Amorim, 16, were in the same property and survived the disaster.
Jhuliana lost her right leg and remains hospitalized in a hospital in the capital.
She is Jeferson's partner and Ester's mother, who died in the landslide.
According to the city government, the cause of the disaster may have been an illegal water connection that compromised the slope of the ravine.
The technical assessment by the Civil Defense indicated that the area is a risk for housing and that the leak from the illegal network caused infiltration, overloading the slope.
Residents reported that the leak had been occurring for months.
In addition to the family buried, the landslide left at least four other people injured.
