A resident caught a lesser anteater while he was taking a walk through the Alternative Space of Porto Velho, in the early hours of Monday (27).
In the video, it is possible to see the moment when the animal climbs a street lamp.
The resident reported that he found the animal while he was taking a walk.
According to him, the anteater came out of the forest alone to "play" on the lamp post, but after being frightened by the noises in the place, it returned to its habitat.
According to biologist Marcela Alvares, it is not common to find the lesser anteater in urban areas.
According to the biologist, when finding a wild animal it is important to keep your distance and wait for specialized help to arrive to remove it safely.
