MANAUS-AMAZONAS, BRAZIL - Residents of a residential area located in the Tarumã neighborhood, West Zone of Manaus, were surprised by a boa constrictor that entered the place, on the morning of this Friday (21).
Videos show the moment in which the animal was found on the sidewalk of a house.
A resident said that the snake came out of a wooded area near the residences, around 7 am, and crossed a road, stopping on the sidewalk.
This would not be the first time that the animal has appeared in the region.
The images show a man using a piece of wood to immobilize the snake and remove it from in front of the residence.
He then places the animal around his neck while taking it to the other side of the street.
There, he places the snake inside a trash can while waiting for rescuers to arrive.
The Amazonas Environmental Protection Institute (Ipaam) reported that a team from the Fauna Management (GFAU) acted promptly on site, ensuring the safe transport of the boa constrictor to its natural habitat.
