ACRE, BRAZIL - Men from the Fire Department of Acre (CBMAC) rescued a boa constrictor, approximately two meters long, that was inside a stove in a house in the João Paulo II neighborhood, in the Baixada da Sobral area, in Rio Branco, northern Brazil.
The firefighters were called after residents of the house spotted the snake sheltering inside the appliance. A video shows the moment the boa constrictor was removed.
According to the department, a screwdriver was needed to remove the back part of the stove and rescue the animal. The snake was taken, unharmed, to a forest area, away from inhabited zones.
The firefighters advise that when encountering wild animals in urban areas, residents should keep their distance and call the emergency number 193.
