BELÉM, BRAZIL - A dog was rescued by Brazilian Army soldiers after an anaconda coiled around its body inside a military facility in the municipality of Itaituba, in southwestern Pará state.

Images show the dog immobilized by the snake. To free the animal, soldiers dragged the anaconda to a paved area, prompting the wild reptile to release its grip.

Witnesses said resuscitation maneuvers were performed on the dog after the rescue. The animal later recovered and is in good condition.

Following the incident, the soldiers contacted environmental authorities, who removed the anaconda from the battalion grounds. The snake was relocated to a safe area.
