PARINTINS, BRAZIL - The celebration welcoming tourists and visitors arriving for the 2026 Parintins Festival drew a massive crowd to the Bumbódromo arena on Tupinambarana Island on Thursday (June 25). Known as the Visitors' Festival, the traditional event serves as a prelude to the annual folklore competition between the Garantido and Caprichoso bull teams.
The audience sang and danced throughout the musical performances. Among the featured acts was Brazilian country music star Leonardo, who performed a repertoire of songs that have captivated audiences for generations.
Leonardo delivered an emotional performance, entertaining couples with his romantic hits as the crowd enthusiastically sang along.
The stage was then taken by Filho do Piseiro, an Amazonas-born singer who has been gaining prominence on the regional music scene. His performance of piseiro — a popular Brazilian music genre that has become a nationwide phenomenon — kept the audience dancing throughout the arena.
Caprichoso and Garantido will begin their performances at the Parintins Folklore Festival on the nights of Friday (June 26), Saturday (June 27), and Sunday (June 28).
