Brazil’s Federal Police are investigating a criminal organization that used the airstrip, built in a forested area of Tefé, in the state’s interior, to transport drugs from Colombia and distribute them to other parts of the country. Agents used explosives to destroy the airstrip and prevent suspected aircraft from landing.
