A 3-meter and 91-centimeter alligator was found in a place known as “marca pó” (mark well) approximately fifteen kilometers from the municipality of Santa Isabel do Rio Negro, in the interior of Amazonas.
The animal was found by a group of friends who were sport fishing in the region.
According to reports, the alligator was already dead and had two wounds on its head, possibly from a gunshot.
The fishermen also said that in order not to dirty the river, they pulled the animal to a beach in the region.
They regret that they are against the killing of animals that live in their natural habitat and that this should be respected.
