AMAZONAS, BRAZIL - A three-meter-long alligator drew attention from visitors at Ponta Negra beach on Saturday 7th, one of Manaus' most popular tourist destinations.
The reptile was first spotted by swimmers, prompting the Fire Department to cordon off part of the beach to ensure the safety of both the public and the animal.
Throughout the day, the alligator swam into the middle of the river but later returned closer to the shore.
In situations like this, authorities stress the importance of keeping a safe distance and immediately notifying environmental protection agencies.
The Fire Department continues to monitor the area for any further incidents.
