In the images, it is possible to see the animal struggling while a man stabs the animal's tail with a knife.
Another man, who appears to be filming, laughs as he watches the scene.
A child's voice appears and asks another person to climb on top of the alligator.
The footage ends with another person asking it to stop.
The Acre Fire Department (CBMAC) confirmed that it had been alerted to the incident, but was not called to respond.
The Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) reported that it became aware of the video on Wednesday (22).
The Ibama Superintendent in Acre said that the inspection division is already aware and that the case will be investigated.
