"Roots: the intertwining of people and struggles" was the theme presented by Boi Caprichoso at the opening of the 57th Parintins Folklore Festival this Friday (28).
The blue and white ox's first act was the Amazonian legend "A Dona da Noite", which brought the allegory of the big snake representing a ubiquitous element in the local imagination.
During the presentation, the allegory of the grating snake opened and presented the cunhã-poranga Marciele Albuquerque who evolved in the arena.
Then, the ceremonial meeting "Muatirisawá, the rebirth of Abya Ayla" was presented, which brought the tuxaua women of Caprichoso.
Popular culture arrived at the arena in the form of a tribute to the "Masters of Popular Culture" during the presentation of the Regional Typical Figure.
The historic and pioneering tuxaua, Zeca Xibelão, after whom the corral do bumbá azul in Parintins is named, was honored.
Figures that are part of the history of Caprichoso were also remembered.
The allegory brought the standard-bearer Marcela Marialva to evolve in the arena.
Followed by Sinhazinha Valentina Cid, who arrived from above, in a balloon, and evolved in the arena together with the black bull of Parintins.
A “Bicho Folharal” module took folklore queen Cleise Simas into Boumbódromo, who evolved to the sound of the “Goddess of popular culture”.
Caprichoso ended the night, with an imposing moment presenting the indigenous ritual “Yanomami Rite of Transcendence: Mothokari, the fury of the sun”, with the presentation of shaman Erick Beltrão.
