RONDÔNIA, BRAZIL - Two cargo trucks caught fire following a collision on Tuesday 10th between Vilhena (RO) and Comodoro (MT).
The vehicles crashed at kilometer 576 of the BR-174 highway. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), one person was killed in the accident. The victim has not yet been identified.
Emergency teams from the Fire Department and the Federal Highway Police were dispatched to the scene.
Due to the severity of the incident, the highway was completely closed and remains shut with no estimated time for reopening.
Videos recorded at the scene show firefighters battling the blaze as the trucks were engulfed in flames and left completely destroyed.
