This Tuesday (11), Acre declared an environmental emergency due to the reduction in the amount of rain and the risk of forest fires in the state.
The decree, which was published in the Official State Gazette (DOE), is valid for the 22 municipalities in Acre.
Data shows that the state's rivers tend to have minimum levels lower than the low alert and maximum alert levels in the coming months.
The document signed by Governor Gladson Cameli points to the low level of rainfall, increased temperatures, a drop in relative air humidity percentages, in addition to warning of possible shortages.
The text states that the reduction in rainfall and the reduction in watercourse levels will harm navigation activities.
Transport of food, people, isolation of indigenous communities and villages may be affected.
The document is valid until December 31st of this year.
