AMAZONAS, BRAZIL - On the morning of Wednesday, August 27, during Operation Green Shield II, officers from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized approximately 223.5 kilograms of skunk marijuana on the BR-319 highway, in Humaitá, Amazonas state.
The seizure occurred during the inspection of a truck transporting used furniture from Cacoal, Rondônia, to Manaus, Amazonas. Officers decided to inspect the cargo and, at the back of the truck's storage area—behind the furniture and inside a freezer—they discovered numerous bricks of the illicit drug hidden.
The driver was arrested on the spot for interstate drug trafficking and taken, along with the seized drugs and vehicle, to the Civil Police Department in Humaitá for further legal proceedings.
