AMAZONAS, BRAZIL - In August 2025, the state of Amazonas recorded a total trade flow of USD 1.41 billion. Of this amount, exports accounted for USD 86.3 million, while imports reached USD 1.32 billion.

The data comes from the Amazonas Trade Balance report, a study produced by the Department of Statistics and Geoprocessing (Degeo) of the State Secretariat for Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation (Sedecti).

Germany emerged as the leading destination for the state’s exports during the period. The most significant product was gold (including platinized gold) in other semi-manufactured forms for non-monetary uses, which totaled USD 18.70 million—representing 98.67% of all exports to the European country.

The Department of Statistics and Geoprocessing at Sedecti, highlighted that the trade balance performance was driven by a 36% increase in exports in August 2025 (USD 86.3 million), compared to August 2024 (USD 63.7 million).

On the import side, China remained Amazonas’ top trading partner, with a focus on “other recorded media,” used for reproducing phenomena other than sound or image, totaling USD 78.29 million—or 15.44% of imports from that country.

The United States followed, with exports to Amazonas of ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymers with a density of less than 0.94, valued at USD 26.32 million, accounting for 19.58% of imports from the U.S. market.
