The special date of "Mother's Day" for residents of the city of Itacoatiara, in the interior of Amazonas, began with a storm that flooded streets and houses in the municipality. The heavy rain started in the early hours of Sunday (12) and stopped in the morning. Many people recorded the situation and the difficulties they faced in protecting their belongings on video. Several houses were taken by water and residents had to remove some furniture. Even so, there is a lot of damage with losses in several neighborhoods in the city. The government of Amazonas stated that it has already activated the Civil Defense, as well as making all the agency's equipment available to be used in favor of the population at this delicate time.
