AMAZONAS, BRAZIL — A 3.5-meter-long anaconda was rescued by the Amazonas State Military Fire Department after being spotted in the backyard of a residence in Humaitá, a municipality in the interior of Amazonas state.
The incident occurred on Friday (18), when residents saw the snake in the outdoor area of the property and promptly alerted the authorities.
Footage from the scene shows the challenges faced by the rescue team. One firefighter is seen using a tool known as a “snake tong” to restrain the animal, while another attempts to secure it inside a containment box.
Despite initial resistance, the snake was successfully captured and later returned to its natural habitat unharmed.
