A child from the Ticuna ethnic group, just 3 years old, burned to death during a fire in Tabatinga, in the interior of Amazonas, on Wednesday night (12).
Another child who was also a victim of the fire had his arms and legs burned in the tragedy, but survived.
Authorities suspect the fire started in a candle. According to local residents, there is a constant lack of energy in the community.
Before long, the flames destroyed the family's small wooden house.
Furniture, clothes and documents were burned.
The child was rescued by a hospital in Tabatinga, but did not survive his injuries.
The girl was buried this Thursday morning (13) in the Umariaçu Reserve Cemetery.
