Following a complaint, the Narcotics Investigation Department (Denarc) seized 55 kg of skunk-type marijuana in Manaus on Monday night (17).
According to Denarc, the vehicle with the drugs was on board a ferry docked at the port of Puraquequara, East Zone.
According to the Department, the tablets found were destined for the city of Belém, capital of Pará.
The operation began around 10pm, from then on the agents noticed two rafts attached to a pusher.
Upon seeing the vehicle, the police intercepted it and carried out a search.
They noticed that one of the doors was dismantled.
The agents removed the other doors of the car and found the marijuana tablets.
Both the drugs and the vehicle were seized and taken to Denarc headquarters.
The police also reported that investigations will continue to determine information about the vehicle's boarding on the ferry.
