One person died and another was injured in a serious accident at kilometer 937 of the BR-174 highway, in Amazonas.
The Amazonas Military Fire Department (CBMAM) and the Federal Highway Police (PRF) were called to the scene.
The tragedy occurred early in the afternoon on Sunday (3), and involved a tanker truck, a pickup truck and a third vehicle not disclosed by the authorities.
According to the PRF, the pickup truck left the road, fell into a ravine and caught fire.
Ambulances from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) provided assistance.
The injured victim was taken to the hospital and his clinical condition was not released.
The body of the person killed in the accident was retained by agents of the Legal Medical Institute (IML).
The causes of the accident are being investigated.
