A severe drought is hitting Amazonas in 2024.
In addition, there are forest fires that occur mainly in the south of the state.
The complexity of logistics in the state led Governor Wilson Lima to ask for more federal support to face and combat these problems.
"The state of Amazonas is available to expand the partnership, because it cannot do it alone," said Governor Wilson Lima.
"We need a greater commitment from the federal government so that we can fight the fires, overcome navigation difficulties here in the state, and help our brothers in the communities that are already isolated," explained the governor.
"Nowhere in Brazil are logistics as complex as in Amazonas. The state cannot do it alone, nor can the federal government," concluded Wilson Lima, Governor of Amazonas.
