In Parintins, in the interior of Amazonas, the Boi-Bumbá Garantido Folkloric Association is carrying out preparatory rehearsals for this year's festival on Tupinambarana Island. Official bumbá items that are part of the show such as Batucada (rhythmists) arrange the final details for the performances.
"Garantido is in the final stretch of preparations. We are very advanced" said Fred Góes, presidents of Boi Garantido.
"When we chose the theme "Segredos do Coração", we needed to hide some things. Those who work with art, those who work with shows know that the secret, the magic of the whole show, is that you don't reveal anything beforehand." commented Fred Góes.
"We are going to take our bull with this secret. The secret of the impact he will cause when we are in the first moments in the arena" said the president of the Association
"She will see the bull with the soul of a champion and with a destiny set to conquer the 2024 festival" stated the president of Garantido.
The 57th Parintins Folklore Festival will take place on the 28th, 29th and 30th of June 2024.
