Brasiléia, one of the cities affected by the flooding of the River Acre, is trying to get back on its feet after the flood. Residents are counting the losses and many had their houses destroyed. The scenery is bleak, many streets are covered in mud and rubbish. The clean-up work is expected to take weeks. Approximately 40 families have had their homes completely destroyed. Seven schools in the municipality are providing shelter for those who still can't return home.
