A house that stood on the edge of a stream collapsed during the rain that hit Manaus this Tuesday (7), on Pitinga street, São José dos Campos community, in the São José neighborhood, East Zone of the capital. A man who was in the house managed to get out before the collapse, but lost his belongings. The heavy rain started around 12pm (local time) when the ravine began to give way. The house on a corner collapsed and only the wall remained. According to residents, work is being carried out by the city hall at the site. The heavy rain also caused flooding in several streets and avenues in the capital of Amazonas. Traffic was slow in some parts of the city and vehicle traffic was complicated. Drivers had to face difficulties to reach their destinations.
