Mr. Antônio Luiz Laghi, 73, had an unusual experience in the garage of his house in the Ponta Negra neighborhood, in Manaus.
While getting ready for a doctor's appointment, he came across a sloth behind the wheel of his car.
The elderly man recorded the animal in a video that was shared on social media.
Laghi lives in a condominium in the Ponta Negra neighborhood, in the West Zone of the capital of Amazonas.
He believes that the sloth came from a wooded area at the end of the residential area.
After finding the sloth, Antônio Luiz called the doorman of the condominium, who picked up the animal and returned it to the wooded area at the end of the street where he lives.
