Two men were arrested on Friday (3) with approximately three tons of base paste and cocaine hydrochloride in the interior of Amazonas.
The drugs were hidden inside canoes in a rural community in the city of Benjamin Constant.
According to the police, the suspects are part of a criminal organization that operates in the tri-border region (Brazil, Colombia and Peru).
To get to the place where the drugs were hidden, the police had to walk for around five hours.
2,800 packages of drugs were found at the scene.
According to the police, actions were also carried out in Manaus, where four weapons, drugs and a vehicle were seized from the home of one of the suspects of being part of the criminal group.
The suspects must be charged with the crimes of drug trafficking, association for trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.
