Four people were arrested red-handed and 32 vessels were deactivated during an operation against illegal mining activities on the Madeira River.
The action took place between the districts of São Carlos and Calama in Porto Velho, on Tuesday (9).
The execution was carried out by the Federal Police in conjunction with the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Resources (Ibama) and the State Secretariat for Environmental Development of Rondônia (Sedam).
According to the PF, the objective is to combat environmental crimes and misappropriation of Union resources.
