Police officers from the Special Police Operations Battalion (Bope) seized around 300 kg of skunk on a farm in the village of Sumaúma, in Mucajaí, on Tuesday (7), after a small plane suffered a breakdown and descended onto the airstrip. of the location. No one was arrested. Bope was called around 8pm, after being informed that there was a plane in the forested area of ​​the farm. At the scene, the 29-year-old caretaker said that in the late afternoon he saw a plane landing on the runway that gives access to the pasture. The military police went to the plane and found it in trouble, with the doors open, but there was nothing inside. The drug was found hidden near a buritizal plantation, approximately 1 km from where the plane was located and was stored in 10 large volumes, divided into blocks. The owner's documentation was found on the plane. To prevent the aircraft from being removed from the location, the agents removed the black box and the polarity inverter - equipment used to start the plane, and took it to the Federal Police along with the seized drugs. The Sumaúma village region is an area used as a route by miners accessing the Yanomami Indigenous Land. Furthermore, in recent months, large drug seizures have been made in the region, such as one of half a ton, made by the PF, and another, of 357, by the Civil Police.
