After five days of searching, the wreckage of the plane with registration number PT-JCZ, which had disappeared in the municipality of Manicoré, in the interior of Amazonas, was located on the afternoon of Wednesday (25), Christmas holiday.
The wreckage was located approximately two kilometers from the Bom Jesus Community, on the Igarapé Grande road, in an area that is difficult to access.
According to local authorities, two deaths were confirmed: pilot Rodrigo Boer and passenger Breno Braga Leite.
At the end of the afternoon of this Wednesday, the bodies of the victims were sent to the morgue of the hospital in Manicoré, which is 332 kilometers from Manaus.
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) reported that search operations began on Saturday (21) and covered an area of approximately 2,594 km².
The FAB clarified that the plane did not have a registered flight plan and was not detected by radar.
The last signal from the pilot's Garmin GPS indicated a position southeast of Manicoré.
The search was supported by teams from the Civil Police, Military Police and Fire Department.
The pilot Rodrigo Boer Machado, 29, was from Fernandópolis (SP), but lived in São José do Rio Preto (SP).
Machado was in Amazonas for work.
The Seventh Regional Service for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (SERIPA VII), with support from the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA) is investigating the causes of the accident.
