AMAPÁ, BRAZIL - A fire destroyed a bus operated by Sião Thur on Wednesday afternoon (28) in the Fonte Nova neighborhood, in the city of Santana. No injuries were reported.
The Passenger Transport Companies Union of Amapá (Setap) stated that the initial hypothesis is that an electrical failure may have triggered the blaze.
Setap also confirmed that the bus was up to date with its maintenance schedule.
Passengers managed to evacuate the vehicle without injury, and the cause of the fire remains undetermined, according to the Fire Department.
Footage captured by bystanders shows the scale of the blaze.
