After the River Acre reached the historic mark of 15.58 metres in the city of Brasiléia, in the interior of Acre, the residents of the municipality affected by the flood have yet to return to their homes. The city's mayor's office said that the Municipal Civil Defence needs to be cleared before residents can return to their homes. Last Saturday (2), the river level was 9.75 metres, below the alert level of 9.80 metres. On Monday, the water level in the city was not released. The town hall also explains that it is impossible for families to return home due to the lack of access to the streets. However, a task force has already been set up and is due to begin the general clean-up of the city.
