AMAZONAS, BRAZIL - The 62 passengers on the speedboat 'Rita Helena IV' were frightened on Monday afternoon (9) in the middle of the Amazon River.
The boat that was transporting them caught fire while sailing near the community of 'Vila Amazônia', about 15 minutes from the city of Parintins, in Amazonas.
Videos show the moment the boat catches fire, with passengers screaming for help.
In the images, it is possible to see smoke coming out of the back of the boat and people trying to contain the flames with buckets.
Other boats approach to provide assistance to the occupants.
The company responsible for the Rita Helena IV speedboat reported that the fire was quickly controlled by the crew on board and that there were no injuries.
There is still no official information about the cause of the incident.
