A fire destroyed a speedboat belonging to the National Foundation for Indigenous Peoples (FUNAI) on Saturday morning (6) in Jutaí, in the interior of Amazonas. The captain suffered minor burns. According to locals, the boat was being used by an indigenous health team and was also helping to transport passengers to the Bugaio village. There is no confirmation of the exact number of people on board at the time of the incident, apart from the captain. After the fire, the boat's fuel tank exploded. Forensics will be carried out to identify the causes of the accident.
