AMAZONAS, BRAZIL - A speedboat flooded early Friday afternoon (29th) while crossing the Amazon River. The incident occurred along the route between the Ceasa port in Manaus, the capital of Brazil's Amazonas state, and the municipality of Careiro da Várzea, located in the interior of the state.
According to witness accounts, the vessel began taking on water mid-journey, sparking panic among the passengers—adults and children alike.
Another boat passing nearby responded quickly and managed to rescue everyone on board. Despite the scare and tense moments, no injuries were reported.
