Athletes from Brazil and Venezuela took part in the 5th edition of the Tepequém Up Pedestrian Race at the weekend. The sporting event is unique in the Amazon for its challenging course with high elevation gain - approximately 540 metres over the 10km course and 720 metres over the 21km course. The difference is that you climb all this surrounded by nature and can contemplate scenic images of one of the most spectacular places in the north of Brazil. The Serra do Tepequém is currently one of the main leisure destinations in Roraima, much sought after by the Roraima and Amazonian public. Located in the municipality of Amajari, 210km from Boa Vista and accessed via the RR203 state road, the mountain offers a variety of waterfalls, trails, landscapes, a mild climate and good basic infrastructure to meet the needs of visitors.
