The fire on a boat near the municipality of Uarini, in the interior of Amazonas, left at least three dead, according to the local Health Department.
The three victims were rescued alive, but died in a health unit in the city of Amazonas, the Secretariat reported.
Among the confirmed deaths are a 1-year-old child and two women.
According to the secretariat, another 165 people were rescued and taken to the city hospital.
Of this total, 16 remain hospitalized, with no risk of death.
The victims who were discharged were sent to schools in the municipality, where they will be sheltered and receive support from the authorities.
The accident happened late in the afternoon on Monday (29).
This is the second vessel to catch fire in the interior of the state in less than three days.
Four people who were on a boat hit by fire on Saturday (27) died.
According to Uarini Civil Defense, teams are on the vessel to check if there are any more victims.
So far, there is no information on the number of missing people.
According to the Brazilian Navy, the vessel, identified as "M Monteiro", left Manaus on June 27th.
She was destined for the municipality of Tabatinga, in the interior of the state, when the fire happened near Uarini.
The causes of the fire on the vessel are still unknown.
