Located on the banks of the Rio Negro, the city of Novo Airão, in the interior of Amazonas, hosted the fourth stage of the XTERRA Brasil circuit last Saturday (20).
The Amazon stage brought together around 800 participants.
The place was surrounded by forests, rivers and unique biodiversity.
The event had a great new feature: the Short Track competition, which was designed for high-performance athletes.
In total, there were 20 invited competitors, 10 men and 10 women who made history or left their record in XTERRA over the years.
In addition to the Short Track, the circuit featured Endurance 50k, Triathon and Trail Run 5, 10k and 21k events.
Tarcísio Batista, resident of Nhamundá, municipality of Manaus, was the big winner of the 21k Trail Run race.
In the women's Triathlon category, the victor was another old acquaintance from the XTERRA circuit.
From Brasili, born in Brasília, DF, competitor Alessandra Dias secured the title
In the men's Triathlon, the winner was an old acquaintance, Diogo Malagon from Minas Gerais.
