"Traditions: The Flame of Popular Resistance" was the theme presented by Boi Caprichoso at the opening of the 57th Parintins Folklore Festival on Saturday (29).
Caprichoso started the night with the Amazon legend “The engeramento of Chico Patuá, a hero of popular resistance”.
The act narrated the fruit of the memory of the remnants of the greatest Brazilian popular uprising, which took place in the Grão-Pará region, in the Regency Period: the Cabanagem.
The event featured the queen of folklore Cleise Simas who arrived to evolve in the arena brought in an aerial module.
Minutes before, coming from above in an aerial module, Caprichoso's sister-in-law, Marciele Albuquerque, excited the blue crowd when she performed at the Bumbódromo.
The first allegory presented by Caprichoso extolled the “Amazonian Fisherman” as a typical regional figure, one of the 21 items evaluated in the dispute between the oxen.
The work of artists Márcio Gonçalves and Marlúcio Pereira took the little lady Valentina Cid to perform in the arena.
To the sound of the song “Capricho da Remada”, the Bumbódromo track was transformed into a large riverside community, where fisherman and caboclo from the Amazon were represented by the players, who carried typical foods from the region and fresh fish.
Shaman Erick Beltrão presented the indigenous ritual “Marubo Rite of Transcendence” in a grand allegory that featured special water effects and aerial ballet, at the Bumbódromo.
The act ended the second night of Boi Caprichoso's performance at the 57th Parintins Festival.
