Carcasses of dead oxen and cows are easily seen on the sides of the roads.
Vultures fly everywhere on the streets and roads.
With the emergency decree, the government also created the Emergency Family Livestock Support Program.
To combat pests and restore pasture on properties, the government, through Agência Desenvolvimento, announced the transfer of funds to rural producers.
