A resident of the city of Rolim de Moura, in the state of Rondônia, was surprised by a rare visit: an Epicrates cenchria, popularly known as the "rainbow boa", entered his home. The nickname "rainbow" comes from a peculiar characteristic: it gains colors when exposed to sunlight due to the optical phenomenon of iridescence. According to the Fire Department, a team was requested to rescue a snake from a residence in the central region of Rolim de Moura. Arriving at the scene, the military noticed that it was a boa constrictor just over a meter long. After rescue, the snake was released into its natural habitat. The rainbow boa is a fascinating snake that inhabits the dense tropical forests of the Amazon region. This species, scientifically known as Epicrates cenchria, is recognized for its dazzling and colorful appearance, which earned it the popular name "rainbow boa".
