AMAZONAS, BRAZIL — Over the past two years, the Amazon Network Foundation (FRAM) has planted 661 trees and seedlings, restored 1,500 square meters of areas and recorded the offsetting of 32.10 metric tons of CO₂ through environmental initiatives in the Amazon.

The initiatives include planting native species, environmental restoration, emissions offsetting, waste collection and environmental education. In 2024, 361 trees were planted, exceeding the target of 354, including 100 seedlings during the Amazon Carnival. In 2025, another 300 seedlings were planted through the Clean Awareness – Recycle Amazon project, carried out in Manaus and rural communities.

The initiatives also include the Echoes of the Amazon project, which addressed the standing forest economy and Agroforestry Systems, with carbon offsetting and area restoration activities in the Uatumã Sustainable Development Reserve.

In 2025, the institution also recorded 23 actions in partnership with environmental organizations. According to the Foundation, restoration efforts involve preparing areas, selecting species, monitoring plant development and involving local communities.

The Amazon Network Foundation, the institutional arm of the Amazon Network Group, has operated for more than 40 years in the states of Brazil's North Region, developing social, educational, cultural, environmental and sustainability projects.
