So, it is very difficult for this farmer...yeah...to achieve this public policy, which is important and has its advantages, right? It's a program called CredAmbiental, which is the network of socio-environmental credit activators. It's a partnership we made with Banco da Amazônia (Basa), to take and unlock Pronaf, for family farmers.....

...how does it work? We form partnerships with these community businesses, they can be cooperatives or associations as I said!. These community businesses will indicate a technician, who is there in the territory who may be...yeah... who has a link with them, so he may be a cooperative member, or a service provider, or even a selector. We transform this recommended technician, we train him to be a credit activator. Once the producer receives this credit, the activator receives a bonus based on results for each contract that he manages to unlock and will then follow up on that contract with the family. As it is a technician who does not come from outside to do this, but rather a technician who is already in the territory itself, we believe that this model supports the development of these local capabilities."

"We worked together with a researcher from Ethiopia, and we did a project called, which in Brazil we call 'Projeto Irriga Pote'. We introduced the gutter into the farmer's house that stores rainwater in a water tank, this water goes through a PVC pipe, it goes to the pot, and near the pot there is a little hose that interconnects with the pipe where the water comes from and on the lid of the pot there is a float. Last year we launched a financial instrument called CRA - Agribusiness Receivables Certificate and we are structuring another financial mechanism to be able to support these associations and cooperatives mainly for working capital."

"Tapioca comes from flour...we grate it and remove the tapioca as we make the flour. Within three days we grate it, remove the tapioca and produce tapioca flour, right. We make it with nuts and without nuts."

"This flour here, within the city of Baião, doesn't have much use. There is more in Igarapé Mirim, the municipality of Igarapé Mirim, which comes here to collect it twice a week. We buy the cassava, the boy rips it up and throws it here. for R$ 700 reais. And the profit it leaves per ton for me, at the moment, is R$ 130 reais per ton, then it is processed and sold. solution, he solves the problem, he solves our problem."
