The Inter-American Development Bank Invest (IDB Invest) began, this Tuesday (11), the 22nd Sustainability Week.
The event, which debates impacts and sustainable infrastructure for the first time in the Legal Amazon, takes place in Manaus until Thursday (13).
In total, 37 countries debate development combined with sustainability in the Amazon, focusing on impact investment, inclusion, bioeconomy and climate change.
"For us, holding this event here is a demonstration of our commitment to the Amazon region, which is full of challenges, commented the general director of IDB Invest, Gabriel Azevedo.
"What we want to do here is bring the world to provide opportunities and business to the Amazon," said Gabriel.
The municipalities of Maués and Parintins are already covered by the partnership between IDB Invest and the state government.
In Manaus, resources were also allocated to the development and improvement of a community in the east of the city.
The event is closed to guests and continues this Wednesday. Authorities, experts, businesspeople, entities and bodies must continue debates with the aim of developing and preserving the environment.
