Police from the Environmental Battalion seized two tons of fish and wild animal meat on a boat that docked at the Port of Manaus, this Monday (17).
Agents located the vessel after an anonymous tip.
The boat left the municipality of Tapauá and when docking in the capital it was approached.
Fish such as pirarucu and tambaqui were undersized.
Meat from various types of wild animals such as tapirs, pacas and deer were also part of the illegal cargo.
The person responsible for the vessel was arrested and taken to the police station that investigates environmental crimes to give a statement.
