A tree fell on Avenida Epaminondas, in downtown Manaus, during the rain that hit the city on Monday (16).
According to the Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (IMMU), the road is completely blocked.
The municipal transport buses that travel along the avenue had their routes modified due to the problem.
Traffic agents directed drivers to other alternative routes.
The bad weather caused a plane with passengers, bound for the city of Tefé, in the interior of Amazonas, to return to Manaus after takeoff.
Another flight was canceled in the city on Monday (16).
According to the airline, the affected passengers were rebooked on an extra flight scheduled for Tuesday (17).
