AMAZONAS, BRAZIL - A cat caught the attention of social media users after being filmed taking a nap in a hammock set up at the entrance of a house in Manaus, in Brazil’s Amazon region. In the footage, the orange feline can be seen resting comfortably in a miniature hammock attached to the residence’s front gate.

The woman who recorded the video arrives at the location and is surprised by the sight. “I arrive here at my mother’s house, and look at the situation I find,” she says as she notices the animal enjoying its rest.

The cat barely reacts to the movement around it and continues sleeping while being gently rocked by a young woman who approaches the blue hammock decorated with yellow patterns. “Seriously!!!” the video’s author jokes while recording the moment.

In the post, she also poked fun at the animal’s calm demeanor: “He didn’t even get up to greet me. Would you accept this lack of respect?”

The scene amused internet users and quickly gained traction on social media. In just one day, the video accumulated approximately 10.8 million views and nearly 1.4 million likes.
