MANAUS, BRAZIL - A video recorded in a riverside community near the municipality of Coari, in Brazil's Amazonas state, shows a fisherman and his young daughter feeding fish in the Solimões River. The footage has circulated widely on social media in recent days.
The video shows fisherman Enak Carvalho sitting on a pier above the water with his daughter, Aurora. The pair watch as fish gather near the surface when food is thrown into the river.
In another scene, Enak and his wife feed the fish with crackers, further highlighting the family's close interaction with the region's aquatic wildlife.
Enak, who regularly shares videos of life in the Amazon on his social media accounts, has posted other encounters with local fish species. In several videos, the fish can be seen gathering near the floating home where he lives.
